Executive Summary

This report sets out to investigate the direction of the advancement in aesthetic surgery. We trace the progress of aesthetic surgery through time. We take a quick journey through history to briefly learn of the background and rise of aesthetic surgery. This project then explores the popular types of aesthetic surgery there are today and their effects on the individual, societal and economic levels.  We would also look at how up and coming forms of technology such as face transplanting, stem cell technology and 3D printing may intertwine with the field of aesthetic surgery in the near future.
